Coming from a good and ripe vintage, one would expect a lot. However sometimes we have to realize negociants are not iron-man all rounders. Drouhin excel in Marquis de Laguiche Montrachet, but the Meursault probably required some more effort.
Very ripe nose, mingled with ripe and cooked fruits, expected of a ripe and forward vintage. Palate was very pomelo fruits driven, with a tinch of bitter pomelo skin taste. Not complex nor layered, just an average Joe’s daily wine here.
