If you visit airports, beware of buying wines from these so-called Duty Free Shops. First, duty and VAT weren’t paid, second, prices were double of duty paid shops. I found shops in Singapore selling for $1,180, at this “Duty Free Shop”, $2,400! The maths didn’t add up.

Regardless, Latour 96 didn’t deserve RP100 either. Decanted for 4 hours, was not drinking as great as the La Mission Haut Brion 98 next to it. Relatively flat and unexciting, perhaps it requires another 30 yrs of aging.
