BIG FORMAT CHARM
This was the 6 liter bottle that I had this afternoon. Why did people buy these big format bottles? Apart from serving a big crowd, It aged very well in big bottles (although not many Australian wines can age well).
This certainly tasted younger than a 11 years old wine, most likely due to the big format. Loads of soft vanilla on the nose, the palate was filled with breakfast jams of black currant, thick and lush, creamy like latte, it even outclass the Leoville Las Cases 85 next to it!
