Best time to buy Vintec wine cabinets now

The Vintec wine cabinets allow for the utmost ease of preserving and serving your carefully chosen wines. Your cellar space is both beautiful and exceptionally functional as well. High humidity will cause molds whereas low humidity will cause corks to dry out. Vintec wine cellars are equipped with a system that recycles water from condensation, ensuring ideal humidity conditions for your wine. All wines mature at the same temperature, which is a constant temperature set between 12 degree to 16 degree. Vintec presents a wide range of wine cellars offering single, dual and multi-temperature models to meet your cellaring needs!

Château Valandraud Valandraud 2003

  Bok's Rating:

Bordeaux · France

TYPE – Red

GRAPES –Cabernet Sauvignon · Cabernet Franc · Malbec ·Merlot · Petit Verdot

“GARAGE WINE

Valandraud started off as a garage wine movement, just like Le Pin, Barde Haut, Le Dome… Etc, but nowadays this movement has slowed down a lot, some have disappeared, some was very successful. Valandraud was sandwiched between success and failure, not spectacular. Like this 2003, made with very concentrated fruits, very dark fruits, very inky, thus quite big and bold, also heavily oaked thus a lot of vanilla flavor. Can only be a decent wine at best.”

Domaine Louis Remy Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru 2006

  Bok's Rating:

Côte de Nuits · France

TYPE – Red

GRAPES –Pinot Noir

“BIG AND BOLD

I had a shock on my first sip of the wine – not a typical light and flowery burgundy I normally come across. This one is almost over extracted with the fruits – big and bold, with a broad stroke. Nose is strong and fruity, already reflected the content of the wine. Palette as mentioned, deep, dark core of over extracted huge dark cherry fruits, to the extent it tasted bitter. I’m not sure if this will tone down after some cellaring or not, I hoped it will.”

Château Leoville Las Cases Saint-Julien Clos du Marquis 2000

  Bok's Rating:

Saint-Julien · France

TYPE – Red

GRAPES –Cabernet Sauvignon · Cabernet Franc · Malbec ·Merlot · Petit Verdot

“NOT A SECOND WINE …

Many drinkers wrongly classified this as 2nd wine or leftover grapes of Leoville Las Cases, which is not true. This label comes from its own plot, right next to Leoville Las Cases. The wine is really a typical St Julien wine, nose of coffee and dark fruits. Body is relatively rich with decent texture, although towards the mid-palette it toned down and slightly diluted. Surprisingly not much tannins, I think the peak drinking window should fall somewhere from 5 to 10 years from now.”

R. Lopez de Heredia Rioja Reserva Viña Tondonia Tinto 1978

  Bok's Rating:

Rioja · Spain

TYPE – Red

GRAPES –Tempranillo · Mazuelo · Graciano · Garnacha

“SPANISH WINE AGE WORTHY

Spanish wines, I realized, mostly are very age worthy. Vina Tondonia wine is one of them. I opened this bottle tonight, took a sip and decanted the bottle. Why? There’s a lot of acidic fruits (which was also obvious on the nose), plus a lot of unresolved tannins. Even with decanting, the elevated acidity didn’t tone down very much, however the fruits got a face lift, from dry tobacco leaves turned to be a lot more fruity and approachable.”

Vertical

  Bok's Rating:

“LATOUR VERTICAL

My friend sent me these few photos after attending a 17 vintages of Latour vertical, from 1865 to 1966! The tasting was hosted in Chateau Latour itself. I couldn’t resist but to share it with all my Vivino friends here!”
