2021 Bodegas Riojanas Canchales Tinto Joven DOCa Rioja
Bodegas Riojanas was founded in 1890, and has been making wines for over a century. This wine is probably the entry level of the family, made of Tempranillo grape varietal. This wine is truly made for early consumption, and easy drinking as well. Bouquet of fragrance, fresh and fruity, somehow too generic. The content is smooth and balanced, very approachable and easy drinking, with a light touch of tannins. Meaty and persistent. The wine reminded me of wines being served when you take an economy class seat from major airlines, they serve this type of wine that’s fruity and easy to drink, no need palate power to analyze, no complains either, pretty much drink and forget.
