In the office of Master of Wine, I was offered a glass of champagne (he called it shampoo). Obviously it was served blind.

A whiff and I find it yeasty. However the yeasty nose went off quite fast in the glass. On the palate, the high acidity hit me, followed by creamy mousse, and sharp and precise taste followed suit. A magnum was served.

To test my guesses, I purposely left the content in the glass for 30 mins. Turned rich, ripe & deep. I guessed the label and vintage correctly. Yay!
