Domaine Kientzler Pinot Gris Reserve Particuliere Alsace France 2018
9.0 stars
6 Jul 2022

Domaine Kientzler is a small, fifth generation family-run estate from Alsace, known for producing Pinot Gris, Riesling and Gewurztraminer. I was served blind for this wine, and I thought the quality was very decent with decent length and finishing, would place it somewhere between a village and grand cru level. Bouquet is rather mild yet fresh, floral and harmonious. Palate is an interesting blend of fruit juices of tropical fruits of lychee as well as freshly cut pineapple. The pineapple juice was more prominent than the lychee taste, although the sweetness revealed the lychee character.
