Like my previous post, 86 was a really funky vintage for Bordeaux, the wines were really all over the place with very strange characters. Some winemakers blamed it on the nuclear disaster of Chernobyl, I guess it may have some serious effects too, as I was really struggling to decipher some obvious wines.
Lynch Bages was more predictable. Nose of strong Cabernet Savignon character. Body was typical; powerful, intense, big, bold, although smooth. It used a bit of overdosed oak though.
