Philippe Colin, Chassagne Montrachet En Remilly, 2017
9.5 stars

For a wine that’s surrounded by Crus known for their delicate nature and minerality, this plot located at the north west corner of Dent de Chien and just above Chevalier Montrachet, and definitely the best plot in Chassagne Montrachet! I really swear by this wine that regardless of vintage I’ll just snap it up. Bouquet of white fruit character mingled with butter that I can’t find a matching fruit for it, as it’s aged in 30% new oak, the bouquet is definitely unique. Content was really big on pear-infused tastes, with load full of energy which is rich but long, powerful yet composed, backed by great minerality and acidity.
