The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru is bright, tense and nicely focused. Lemon peel, mint, crushed rocks and white pepper lend notable energy to this wonderfully vibrant, sculpted Puligny. All the elements are so well balanced. Saline notes emerge in the glass, supporting the beautifully persistent finish nicely. This is so attractive. (1/2024)

Here too there is a subtle whiff of the exotic on the aromas of petrol, spice and a variety of floral elements. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the solidly concentrated and mineral driven flavors that feel alive on the palate before concluding in a bracing, balanced and bitter lemon-inflected finish.
